Good exfoliant, but a bit of squeaky feeling. Smells mellow.

I like using bar soaps as one of the ways I exfoliate. I find them much easier to work with than serums because most get rinsed off. I can be sensitive to overly citrus scents and I wanted to see if these bar soaps get along with my skin.MY EXPERIENCE WITH THE PRODUCT1. I got House of Nutrition’s mandelic acid and tea tree oil face and body soap. I got 10.5 ounces which I think is a pretty good weight when value is considered. They are smaller than other regular soap bars for the body.2. I like the scent of these bar soaps. There is a little bit of citrus, but it is mixed with some mild sweetness so it is not as jarring to me as some of my exfoliating soaps. It is noticeable, but it goes away fast after using it in the shower.3. When it comes to lather, I think this is about middle of the pack. I have some soaps that lather better. These soaps are easy to rinse off though which I appreciate. I primarily use this on my face instead of my body since I have others that I use. The tea tree is not too much for my face as I have used it before in other face soaps when it comes to the scent.4. My face feels squeaky clean after so I try to hydrate quickly since I tend to lose water fast and my face gets really dry with a lot of bar soaps so it is not just specific to these soaps.5. I think that those with sensitive skin may appreciate the mandelic acid since it should be gentler than some other exfoliants.OVERALL IMPRESSION: I think that this 3-pack mandelic acid exfoliating bar soaps is cost-effective and worth its value because the 3 bars should last a while depending on whether you use this just for the face or for both the face and body.

helps with odor but fragrance is a bit strong

I ordered these acidified cleansing bars primarily for their advertised odor control properties. I have an apron belly and struggle with keeping the skin underneath it odor-free. While this soap did not miraculously eliminate that problem, I do feel it’s helped minimize the odor I experience in that area. I think it’s pretty effective for odor control. The listing says this soap is also meant to help with uneven skin tone, but this isn’t an issue I have on my body.Although I do have uneven skin tone on my face, I didn’t try this soap there. I have sensitive, rosacea-prone skin and I also sometimes react to shea butter, which is one of the listed ingredients. I have an easier time with soaps containing shea than I do with creams or lotions that contain it, probably because soap rinses off instead of absorbing into the skin. But between that and the fairly strong fragrance, I didn’t feel comfortable trying the soap on my face and so can’t speak to how it would work as a facial cleanser or whether it’s effective in combating uneven skin tone. The soap lathers well if you use the included mesh bag. While I appreciate that the bag was included, it doesn’t cinch closed at the top, making it a bit awkward to use when lathering since you have to hold it closed the whole time. As I noted above, I find the fragrance of this soap fairly strong. It’s an orange (or I guess tangerine) scent that, to me at least, is very artificial-smelling. I don’t hate it but some people might. It doesn’t linger on the skin after showering, though, which might help somewhat if you are sensitive to fragrances or just don’t vibe with this one.Overall, I’m pretty happy with these soaps. My sensitive skin hasn’t had any bad reactions to it I think it’s helping me minimize odor in my problem area. Although the individual bars are fairly small, I think they’ll last me a while as long as I continue to use the included mesh bag, which really helps in getting the most bang for your buck with bar soap. At $15.99 for the 3 mini bars, I think these soaps are a pretty good value given the ingredients and what they claim to do.

I am absolutely thrilled with this three-pack of certified mandelic acid and tea tree oil bar soaps. Finding a product that effectively controls odor while maintaining a gentle, pH-optimized formula is rare, but these bars do exactly that. The tangerine scent is incredibly refreshing and provides a perfect, invigorating burst of citrus every time I use them. The combination of mandelic acid and tea tree oil is a game-changer for my skin. It feels deeply cleansing without stripping away moisture or causing any irritation. I have noticed a significant improvement in my skin’s overall clarity and freshness since I started using these soaps daily. They lather beautifully and leave me feeling clean and confident all day long.Having a three-pack is also incredibly convenient, ensuring I won’t run out anytime soon. The quality is consistently excellent across all three bars, making this a fantastic value. I highly recommend this soap to anyone looking for a natural, effective, and wonderfully scented cleansing experience. This is easily a five-star product!

Good quality soap at a good price, but the scent hurts my sinuses.

Acidified Cleansing Bar, pH-Optimized Odor Control Soap, 3-PackI have used a few other products from this company and found them to be good quality for the price, so I was interested in trying this Acified Cleansing Bar for odor control. I found it ok, but not my favorite, compared with the persimmon bar soaps and body wash that I have used and continue to reach for. There’s nothing particularly wrong with it – it does a fine job of lathering and cleaning, and the scent is probably not too overpowering for most, but it tends to get up in my sinuses where it hurts a fit. I love that it comes with the mesh bag to both help it lather and then hang to dry. Overall it’s a good quality soap at a good price, just not one I prefer, though I’m sure I’ll use it up over time.

    I love these cleansing bars

I absolutely love these acidified cleansing bars. 3 bars and a mesh bag. I like the mesh bag but the string broke, which sucks cause it makes the the foamiest, creamiest soap. It cleanses your skin so its so soft and feels great, and has a mild citrusy scent that smells great. Its been a couple months now and still on my first bar. A great value for the quality and will definitely buy again.

    Cleansing Bar👍🏻

Great cleansing bar. Use when needed not every day. Can be drying but not harsh on your skin.

Long-lasting and has a nice odor.

I did find that these bars of soap lasted as long or longer than a standard bar of soap that I have used. The fragrance is why I took away a star. To be fair, that is a very subjective area to review. The odor of the soap was just ok for me, but others may like, or even love it…it was just not my cup of tea. I did find that it lathered up very well. I also found it to be effective for odor control when I have used it after a workout. I would consider this to be a fair or good value for as much soap as you get and that it works well for odor control,

Clean, Subtle Scent With Targeted Odor-Control IngredientsClean, Subtle Scent With Targeted Odor-Control Ingredients

I’ve been enjoying House of Nutrition’s line of soap bars because each one is formulated with a specific purpose in mind. This particular bar is an acidified cleansing soap that’s designed to provide better odor control than traditional soap.Personally, I haven’t noticed a significant difference, but body odor isn’t something I struggle with since I don’t sweat very much and regular soap generally meets my needs. That said, if odor control is a concern for you, this formula has a solid ingredient profile. Its key active ingredient is mandelic acid (an alpha hydroxy acid), which has evidence supporting its ability to lower the skin’s pH. A lower skin pH can make it more difficult for odor-causing bacteria to thrive, while the gentle exfoliating properties of mandelic acid may also help remove dead skin cells where bacteria can accumulate. The scent is much more subtle than some of the other soaps in this product line. It’s clean and pleasant with only a light fragrance, which I actually think works to its advantage. Rather than relying on a strong perfume to mask body odor, this soap seems designed to let its ingredients do the work.Like the other House of Nutrition soaps I’ve tried, this set includes three individually wrapped bars along with an exfoliating mesh soap bag. The mesh bag helps create a richer lather while allowing you to use every last bit of the soap, extending the life of each bar. Those extras add a nice amount of value to the package.Overall, this is another well-made soap from House of Nutrition. While I don’t personally need the odor-control benefits on a daily basis, I’ll definitely be keeping these on hand for hot summer days, workouts, or other situations where staying fresh is more of a challenge.
